It has two subsidiaries: Better Generation Ltd. in the UK, and Better Generation Inc. in the USA, as well as an exclusive business partnership in China. The Group was created in December 2008 through a combination of an investment of capital from Beyond Asia Capital Ltd. and the acquisition of Better Generation Ltd, itself founded in 2006 by entrepreneur Toby Hammond.

Graham Brant - Group Board Member, Group Chairman and CEO (Hong Kong)Graham has spent over 30 years in a career defined by a passion for electronics and communications. He has a strong track record in developing emerging technology based companies, including spending 10 years at Microsoft during the 1990’s as a founding member of its Global Consulting team, CEO of Microsoft Hong Kong, and many other related businesses in both Europe and Asia. Since 2001 Graham has been active as CEO of Beyond Asia Capital; investing in emerging technology, global platform companies such as Better Generation. Toby Hammond - Group Board Member, Founder and UK Managing Director (London) Toby is the entrepreneur who founded Better Generation back in 2006, after leaving his former career as a sustainability consultant. An alumni of Forum for the Future's Leadership for Sustainable Development program, Toby has a background in environmental campaigning but these days believes good business can change the world. Toby leads the London office but often finds himself with our partners in China and elsewhere. He is involved in industry forums such as the Renewable UK Strategy Group and regularly speaks at renewable energy conferences and seminars. James Robinson - Chief Financial Officer (Hong Kong) Graduating from Cambridge University with a degree in Economics, James then qualified as a UK Chartered Accountant and as a UK Chartered Tax Advisor. Having begun his training in audit specialising in SMEs he moved into corporate finance, where he worked on numerous stock market floatations and M&A transactions. In 2005 James joined Delling Group plc, a listed company, as CFO. During his time at Delling he ran the acquisition and funding processes which helped grow turnover ten-fold in three years. After leaving Delling in 2008 James moved to Hong Kong before joining Better Generation. Robert Macaulay - ACA Group Accountant (London)Robert graduated with a degree in Banking, Insurance and Finance from Bangor University in 1984. He then gained his UK ACA qualification in 1988 followed by an early accountancy career with Commins & Co in London. Since then, Robert has developed extensive interests in a number of businesses and performed a wide range of CFO roles in the property, tourism and catering trades as well as running his own chartered accountancy practice.  Helen Hu - Manufacturing and Logistics Manager (Hong Kong) Helen manages the day to day logistic challenges of transporting our products from the factory in Chengdu to our global customers. She brings a wealth of experience in dealing with the tricky task of managing logistics out of China! Her main interests are cooking and travelling. Lisa Liang - Group Finance Officer and Team Administrator (Hong Kong)Lisa supports the group and our partners for all aspects of finance and sales administration. After obtaining a Bachelor of English and Management Combined Degree from the University of Chong Qing in 2006. Since then she has worked as office and operations manager in China. Lisa enjoys travelling, dancing and yoga. Better Generation Ltd. UKThe UK company leads development and design, supports international sales, and provides global technical support to partners.  Brian Marsh - International Sales Manager Brian joined the team at Better Generation in January 2010 as their International Sales Manager looking after the EMEA area (Europe, Middle East and Africa). His background is in technical Sales and Marketing, being mostly in the IT industry for most of his working life. He is a very experienced business manager and brings a wealth of experience to the team, experience which he is sharing with the Better Generation Distributor and Reseller network. Brian’s outside interests include working for a Spanish Charity that supports a Children’s Home in Malaga, fund raising and publicising the work of the charity.  Suzie Coats - Product Development Manager Suzie has been with Better Generation since January 2009; prior to joining the team she completed an MSc in Environmental Technology specialising in Energy Policy at Imperial College London. She leads the software development and technical support teams, as well as playing a vital role in hardware development and a number of different areas across the company! She loves travelling and adventurous sports including skiing, polo and scuba diving.  Richard Musi - Sales and Distribution Support Manager After completing a BSc in Corporate Finance and spending two years sharpening his language skills in Paris, Richard comes to Better Generation looking to develop his experience within the Renewable Energy sector. Dubbed as the resident “Feed in Tariff” expert and with a role supporting the global network of Power Predictor distributors and resellers, Richard enjoys swimming, scuba diving and cycling.
 Adam Charnock - Lead Software Developer and Architect Adam is a web application developer & consultant and has been working with Better Generation since the summer of 2008. In 2006 he completed a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Warwick University. He spent a year working on high-performance web applications before ultimately forming his own company in 2007. Adam can normally be found shooting photos around tech conferences. When occasionally offline, Adam enjoys Lego, skating, photography and cooking. Dominic Starkey - Product Development OfficerDom gained a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Sustainability from Warwick University in 2009, writing his dissertation on energy saving methods in housing and taking part in a novel wind turbine design project in his final year. After university, Dom gained experience and knowledge through work placements in two renewable energy consultancy houses. He joined Better Generation in March 2010 as a Product Development Intern, working on customer support, improving the website and writing the blog. Outside of work, his main passions are watching sport, reading books and cooking.  Davion Cheng - Sales Support Officer Armed with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems, Davion spent one year teaching but didn’t feel fully satisfied with the experience. He joined Better Generation at the end of March to gain more knowledge, and to feed his fascination, in the Renewables sector. Davion brings energy and enthusiasm to the sales team and in his spare time enjoys travelling and participating in TaeKwonDo competitions, which he has done for over 15 years.  James Norman - Product Development Intern Recently graduating with a BSc in Physics from The University of Bristol, James is now glad to be out in the real world, gaining experience in the renewable energy sector by working as an intern for Better Generation. Ever keen to develop his knowledge of all things sustainable, James plans on seeking further experience in the environmental sector before heading to Edinburgh University to study for a masters in Renewable Energy Systems. Free from work, James enjoys running, mountain biking and above all backpacking adventures.
 Ffinlo Costain - Associate and guest blogger With a long background in local and national campaigning and journalism. He is now the director of specialist consultancy Costain Communications, which focusses on grassroots work, in particular campaigning for wind turbines and other renewables at the community level.
Most recently he worked with green groups and government on the Isle of Man to develop a wider awareness of climate change and peak oil, and has run successful campaigns to force the Manx Electricity Authority to invest in wind energy, develop a green tariff, and acknowledge the importance of micro-renewables. LWS is young technology firm based in Chengdu, China – one of the three R&D bases for aviation and aeronautics industry in China. LWS is the leading Chinese supplier of sophisticated sensors for large-scale wind turbines. The company has a strong capability in product design and development.
