The graph below compares the outputs of wind turbines in our database that have a maximum rated output between 900 and 1500W. 

There are a lot of small turbines on the market in this category, such as the Ampair 600, the Samrey Merlin, FuturEnergy 1kW and the controversial building-mounted Windsave (now unavailable) and Swift wind turbines. As with all wind turbines, larger blade diameters will mean more energy can be captured. The Samrey Merlin has the quickest kick-in speed and generally produces the most power output at a given wind speed.
